Can’t find Tory Tosser Who Stole the Soul of my club. Still fuming.

Monti

For long enough now this Celtic board have fed off the supporters emotional, unbreakable bond with the dressing room at Celtic park.
Damage has been done now by the board, there is growing disillusionment from the supporters towards the clubs custodians.
There is a gulf now born of under investment, detachment from the supporters feelings and a failure to back the support in battles with the Police and government.
Celtic are being downsized on the pitch in favour of having no debt.
We have a manager who is described as developing and half a squad of players not fit to wear our shirt, all through this the board want you to keep digging deep and give them more.
But they won’t give more, to their employees or players of the desired quality on the park.

Ian Bankier say’s ” we have no bank debt “, I say…… We have no Champions league football!

The board are treating us all as mugs!

Have been for years and those fans who wore the “Debt Free” slogan like a badge of honour were the biggest mugs of all.
We have ยฃ14m in debts and we have until July 2019 to clear them.
It is my opinion when we do those with substantial shares will sell up.
If we all want change the answer is simple.. we buy them out.
ALL OF US.
Numbers no large numbers like we have don’t need to spend thousands.
This can be done and finally we can become accountable for whatever happens from that point forward.
each fan gives say ยฃ20 then each fan gets a single vote.
I would suggest we did this and returned Celtic Fc to the type of Club it was supposed to be from the beginning.
A non profit making charitable entity who uses the beautiful game to do so.
I believe if we did then the right kind of companies World wide would want to be associated with Celtic I don’t think funding would be an issue.
I also think our numbers would grow Worldwide as news spread as to what we were doing.
Football is about Corporate Greed now we could reverse that trend by leading the way as THE CLUB in World Football set up and run properly to help those most in need.
I think that Celtic would be something truly special indeed.
Then perhaps I’m just a dreamer?
Maybe so but my money is sitting here waiting for it to happen.
That’s all I have to say on this now.

The board are doing a good job in a difficult environment .Our history is preserved and our future assured .I can hold my head up high in any company and declare with pride that I am a Celtic supporter. It is not about a particular result or even a specific season. It is about who we are and Celtic afford us the opportunity to make that statement as they have done for the generations gone.We have progressed from the unwanted and unloved to be center stage in Scotland and now need a bigger stage. I am confident that our board are striving to achieve that. Our credibility is our entry ticket. A difficult journey lies ahead. Support our board and keep the faith.

Great post monti , i think the gulf between fans and board now is getting to the kellys and whites stage. I cant believe a celtic manager is coming away with things like he did yesterday , if were going to lose our best players every season we need to have ready made replacements to come in , thats the aim. I mean whit the fuck! Can you imagine oneil or lennon coning out with that pish. As a season tkt holder of many years i really am at the stage where i am sick fed up with this being taken for granted by a bunch of tory peer board members who wouldnt know the real world if it bit them on the backside and an apprentice manager coming out with statements not befitting of a celtic manager

I think at next years AGM, they’ll be using a gazebo on the pitch. It wouldn’t be Celtic, if the people running the club weren’t in it for themselves. HH

IB – No bank debt…

Monte – No CL football…

Brilliant!!!!

In my house, no bank debt.

My kids – No Disney???

Yes! Let the kids/fans run the show financially! Another brilliant thought!!!

It’s not the kids/fans money. Why? Because kids don’t work and half the fans who bitch don’t support the club financially. Of they both helped out the we’d go to Disney and full stadium every week with CL football.

Dr.J,
So only fans who can financially contribute towards Celtic, have a right to criticise the board or manager?
Brilliant!!!
What about supporters who love the club but can’t afford a season ticket, go abroad with the team or travel to away games?
Or fans who put their families before the Celtic superstore?

Those fans should just sit down face the front and remain silent should they?

I think your thought process would be welcome in the boardroom.
Me? I think you are missing the point!

Let’s dispel this myth we have no Bank Debt.

The Interest bearing liabilities are represented by loans from the Co-operative Bank. These loans bear interest at London Inter-Bank Offered Rate plus
1.125%. The loans are floating rate loans and therefore expose the Group to cash flow risk. These loans form part of a ยฃ20.40m loan facility which
reduces by ยฃ0.05m per quarter until May 2019 with the balance repayable in July 2019. The Group has the option to repay the loans earlier than
these dates without penalty. The bank loans are secured over Celtic Park, land adjoining the stadium and at Westhorn and Lennoxtown.
We have a ยฃ6m Overdraft which is paid off in full by the end of each year.
This leaves a ยฃ14.4m Long Term Debt whi is to be paid in full by July 2019.
WE ARE NOT DEBT FREE

Reading this form is good for my soul, as I can’t believe how disappointed/embarrassed I am at my club.
Reading other Tims feel the same is heart warming.
My 60 year life long love for Celtic can only be surpassed by my social concision, and this board is test it.

I had a season ticket for 18 years..until I retired.
The State Pension doesn’t run to covering the cost…so I don’t go any more.
Does that make me less of a supporter ?..I hope not.
In a perfect world every Tim who wanted to go to Celtic Park to cheer the team on..would go.
Admittedly the queues would stretch to Paisley..but that’s someone else’s problem..:0)..
Point is, as Monti said, people who can’t go.. shouldn’t be treated as less worthy than those who do.
As for the Board..?
The Owner’s attitude tells you all you need to know.

Afternoon Mike,
The attitude from the board leaves a bad taste in the mouth, how can the club put up such a fight against paying all employees the living wage?
Maybe we should have played the directors in defence against Malmo because they know how to stay tight.
The PR and soundbites that come out of CP get on my nerves, they are still talking about trebles for heavens sake??
Deila banging on about B teams?

Good deflection that Ronny, you can’t get a result in Europe but we will all sit in amaze at your visions of the future?

There is something wrong at Paradise and I get the feeling the fans are about to let this board hear it.

We have a director who think the poorest in our society aren’t suffering enough…..meanwhile the Celtic supporters collect for foodbanks to help our poverty ravished families.

Disillusioned!

Monti the Supporters are fed what they want to hear.
The Boad have been successful to a large extent of convincing the vast majority that being Debt Free in the current climate is a major honour to be shouted from the roof tops.
It’s bullshit we owe the Co-OP ยฃ14 Million mate in long term loans.
That’s a fact.
These Loans fall under NON CURRENT LIABILITIES ie debts which are not scheduled to be paid up in full in your Current Financial Year.
In 2019 these debts become Current.
It’s all bluff mate financial spin designed to reduce any angst towards these guys as their share price increases to good levels then they sell.
I firmly believe in 2019 we will see the likes of Lawwell walk away after selling their shares pockets bulging and pensions secured.
All at the expense of a Support who are being conned into this idea that is better to be financially comfortable than taking a risk and aiming for bigger things.
Their policy has probably cost us ยฃ50m in duds and lost financial gains in Europe.
But that doesn’t affect them like it does you or I.

Afternoon to you too Monti,
As an active member of the Sack the Board Campaign…back in the day..I am totally pissed off with the present incumbents..and if they’re not very careful there will be a backlash…again !!
There is an element of the support who don’t take criticism of the Club in any shape or form..but they have always been there. They backed the Whites and the Kellys regardless..but the Club always comes first…and so it was proved.
Now its looking like a repeat may be heading their way….albeit in different circumstances…and for different reasons.
I cannot believe the lack of progress in the last 5-10 years.
We should be out of sight in Scotland and performing regularly at CL level in Europe…and..
Coupled with the observations you made..the Board had better take stock…The natives are getting restless.
Anyway my son is coming to take me to the Club to watch the game…catch you later.

No point in railing at the Board they have the support of the major shareholders an are therefore pretty much secure.
Plus they can point to the financial disaster at Sevco and other clubs who went into debt.
In fairness we have a fantastic stadium and state of the art training facilities, won two (should have been three) trophies last season and will probably do as well this season.
Question for me is are we getting a return from the facilities and squad that we have?. I don’t think so the squad is full of proven international players at both senior and under 21 level, maybe not from the top nations but internationalists nevertheless.
I like Ronnie and think that he is a good coach and development guy but is in the wrong job. I am positive that there are managers available who would get more out of the squad by being more tactically astute.
I do agree that the failure of the Board to take the football authorities to task over the entire business of Sevco is a disgrace and reflects badly on Celtic. They appear to be
complicit in both the secret five way agreement and the failure of SFA to have removed Rangers from the European Champions League by informing UEFA that the club had unpaid tax bills.
I also think that the Club should be demanding a full and public enquiry into the entire EBT business including the role of individuals in the SFA and SPL who may or may not have been aware of the situation.

It was an interesting board meeting. I think the Board do have to pay more attention to the supporters or “paying customers”. Usually a business is fully focused on its customers and works tirelessly to keep them as paying customers and entice them to spend more. Also in business it’s unusual to call your paying customers racists! It’s usually bad for business. I hope Mr. Bankier has had time to reflect on his abusive and hurtful outburst aimed at his own customers. While I understand that His Grace Lord Livingston is a good friend of his this a they would say in the Godfather is strictly business nothing personal. Shareholders are in fact part owners and as such have a perfect right to ask for change in the Board. Nothing personal strictly business.
