The Wee Blue Book for Folk in Green in White

Its been a while since we discussed the joys of Celtic and Referendum Politics, so its that time again.

If youre not interested, look away now, we really wont mind but do suggest you have a wee browse anyways.

If you are interested in the Scottish Referendum, then we believe theres a recent publication that you really must read.

Over at the brilliant WingsOverScotland website, Rev Stu Campbell ( He’s an Aberdeen fan but no one is perfect!)  has written up an excellent and concise guide to the key factors that will affect many peoples choice of Yes or No or those currently sitting at Dont Know.

Covered topics include:

  • The Economy
  • Currency
  • Health
  • Pensions
  • Oil
  • Defence
  • Education
  • Culture
  • Devolution
  • EU
  • NATO
  • Borders
  • Embassies
  • Negotiations

‘The Wee Blue Book’ will allow YES voters to back up any arguments; it will prompt NO voters to ask themselves if they have really been told the truth by a biased Media;  and most importantly of all, it shall help those Dont Knows get a clearer perspective on the truth regards many important matters that will decide their final cast vote.

There are many downloadable versions covering all types of media over at the Wings website.

The loyalist newspapers will never allow you to get independence. They are telling the weak minded how to think.

I’ve always considered the “weak minded” to be the gullible who swallow fat Alex’s snake oil sales pitch.
Canny understand Tims voting for him and his odious ilk.

The issue is that the Scottish Independent press is a misnomer, thereis a big fat elephant in the room which the media ignores. An independent Scotland would be successful and a fairer society. The knuckle dragsters who believe in the Empire? And all it means might flee to England, benefiting the future of our liberal people and their children for generations.

Thththaaannnkkkkssss fffooooorrr ttthhhiiisss!!!

If there are catch-loads of red herrings reaching the Scottish shores, then we are being provided well farmed red salmon down here. My very repetitive and basic (I can only do the basics these days – keeping up your image of me Desi) opinion on independence has been that the real issues are not being addressed and certainly not clarified e.g. Health, Eduction and many of the items on the reverend’s list. I only hope you are getting a clearer picture up there of what an independent or handcuffed (hope that does not constitute bias) Scotland will look like than the indecipherable negative on display down here. My rare visits north of the border would indicate you are actually not. The Rev. Stu may turn out to be the most revered for his holistic overview. I am looking forward to satiating my gluttonous inquisitiveness on his enlightenment.

My comment seems to have been expelled from the house. I would “zoom” after it but I am too far over the hill to be chasing eloquence.

I will, however, devote as much time as possible to catching up with the Rev Stu.

So who here thinks an Idependant Scotland run by the Klan without being under the Microscope will be a good thing for Catholics?

Been one for over 4 decades and I certainlt don’t think it will.
Quite the opposite in fact.
Be careful what you wish for because anyone who thinks that shower will take a split from the Union lightly are sadly deluding themsleves in my opinion.
Theres no more bitter a Scot than a Scot who signs up for that shower.

Had the misfortune to hear our illustrious historian and Celtic Director Brian Wilson speak at Better Together meeting (I know, I just popped in for a haircut!). This guy’s views would not be out of place at the Tory Conference. He is a seriously unpleasant, I’ll-mannered, bitter little man who has no place as a Director at Celtic Park. His views on food banks and the sale of council houses would have had Brother Walfrid revolving in his grave. For someone who has been such an advocate of Irish Nationalism in the past he sure hates Scottish Nationalism. Fortunately someone from the floor ripped him a new one. He would be doing the club a favour if he requested that they dropped his Celtic directorship from his CV at these meetings as he is doing the club no favours by his association with us.

When did etims become the promoter of an in dependant Scotland? Surely a football forum should not be used as a platform to apply a bias on political matters, especially by those who have chosen not to live in the country for which they urge independence. An independent Scotland, arguably would have some financial benefits, socially it would be a disaster.. Kiss catholic schools goodbye, the filth will be enfranchised even more than they have been to date to arrest on site. The move to abolish the need corroboration is an example of this. Pushed through by the Scottish government, despite the objections of all the Scottish law lords wilth the exception of one. The SNP , driven by Kenny McCaskill and against the political wills of all of the main and minor parties continue to push to make this fascist measure a law in Scotland. Combine this with the equally fascist ‘Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications Bill’ and you have a minority nightmare on your hands, Catholics being the minority name in the frame. Scotland always has been the most bigoted wee country in the world and will become even more so in the event of a yes vote. Ironically I have been drawn into expressing a view on politics which is precisely what I did not intend to do. Keep politics for the soap box and ballot box and leave it off football forums FFS.

What everybody has to remember after the vote is that there will be an election to determine who will govern Scotland in the event of a yes vote. We are in the position to vote in a left of centre govermnent in this country to bring to an end the vendetta the present uk government has against the working class, a large portion of said class being Catholic and will have a major say in the running of Scotland post union. The etims is a football forum but it is good to cover other issues and you don’t get much more topical than the independence vote. Anyway, anything the orange order campaigns against must have something going for it.

I downloaded and printed this off the wingsoverscotland website on Thursday, read it on the train through to a union meeting in Aberdeen yesterday, absolutely must read for any undecided’s, the good thing about it is the vast majority of pro comments have come from the mouths of unionists who are now pushing “project fear” and academics. I persuaded at least 3 folk at the meeting to print it off there and then, with the words, spread the news!!

Living in Sydney, ah canny vote but for sure it would be a resounding AYE. Only today in the MSM in Australia the bawbag of a PM Abott saying people voting for yeas ‘are not friends of freedom or justice’ Abbot is a right wing thatcher-loving *unt of a person. I despair of Australian politics often.
