Celtic Diary Saturday December 5: King Saves Celtic’s Season

Dave king came out of hiding on the back of a decent run for his fledgling club, and as he tries desperately to fleece the hordes one more time, for old times sake, he may well have committed a fatal error.

In a question and answer session with Raman Bawheid of STV, he waxed lyrical about the good times ahead , sensing an opportunity to join Charles Green et al in the rogues gallery of those who have lined their pockets at the expense of the gullibillies.

I’m not sure if it could be called a  face to face interview, as Bawheid spent most of the time around the back of King with his nose firmly clenched by the great man’s buttocks, but some of the drivel from the South African based fraudster is worth noting….

For instance, the opening question is little more than an advert for Dave’s latest wheeze….

Q: Why did you decide to sell to Club 1872?

Whilst we know it’s because they are the only people daft enough to buy into the worthless entity, King claimed  it was because…

The reason it’s Club 1872, that’s my best representation of what I feel is a meaningful supporters group

Come to think of it, thats the same thing, really.

A couple of years ago you predicted that Celtic in one season would fold like a pack of cards. Is that what we’re seeing now? Do you stand by that comment?

I stand by it. Celtic have had a run, they’ve won titles. We weren’t there, I think five of the years, we weren’t there. When we came back we clearly didn’t have the resources to compete. We’ve slowly built that up and narrowed the gap, certainly on playing terms. We’re top of the league on merit and if we can win the league this year, I don’t think that will be a one-off.

And not only was he back feeding the hordes their favourite brand of shite, he knows exactly how to feed it to them.

Does that make you angry ? Are you feeling the same sort of rage right now as i am at this man’s comments ?

Good, let it build up.

Bawheid fed the bear….

So, what are you saying then?

I think Rangers can get back to being the dominant team in Scotland.

They can’t even get back to being Rangers until he pays the bills, as he once said he would do, but Bawheid won;t pick him up on that, instead he merely continues this festival of verbal masturbation….

Consistently winning league titles?

Consistently.

He’s almost at the tickly bit…

Like they did in the 90s?

I don’t want to get back to it but I really see a situation where at the end of this year, it’s not over yet, and the team comes through and is strengthened further into the next year, I would expect to see Rangers start the season as favourites. That’s what I want, I want Rangers to start each season as favourites.

South Park Randy GIFs | Tenor

Of course, it’s all bullshit.

King knows that the second half of the season is going to be a bit of a rollercoaster for the club/company.

They are living week to week, he knows that and is trying to play the hordes one last time.

Now, how does all of that make you feel ?

The back page of a newspaper this morning….

Image

They even go with aberdeen looking to pip Celtic to second, which implies that the league is over.

The barricades at Celtic, two of which we believe will feature on the bench against St Johnstone to create a sense of separation from the support, although to be fair thats not entirely down to the paper, the club do need to accept some of the blame for that nonsense.

The Green Brigade, those ultra hard core supporters delighting in the chance to do what Celts for Change did in the nineties, but failing miserably by coming across as the very same self centred and entitled support that we once laughed at the other lot for being…

And the bit about Dave King “throwing down the gauntlet to Dermot Desmond….

If you’re reaction is to demand that Desmond reacts, then you are part of the problem.

We cannot tell the irish absentee landlord that it is our club, and yet expect him to sort out the problems for us.

We have to do that ourselves.

Alright, it may be that we are stuck with a manager who knows he is out on his arse as soon as a replacement is found.

It may be that the natural successor has been told he;s not the natural successor after all , which has pissed him off enormously.

It may be that some of the players don’t want to be there any more, and indeed, some of them haven’t earned the right to be there in the first place.

But we still support Celtic, right ?

And whether or not this season turns out to be the clusterfuck of all clusterfucks doesn’t change that.

All I ask is that we stop turning our rage onto our own, because that is exactly what they want us to do.

They can’t beat us on their own, they need our help to hasten the end of an era, an era that will only end if we let it.

Instead of going to meet the team this weekend and berating them, do what the song says.

Be there to give the boys a cheer.

Fuck me, they need it.

Ah the Journos and their La La Land fantasies. As for. King he is taking the proverbial so that the zombies will roll up roll up with their shekels. So far the board have managed to shoot themselves in the foot with their crass stupidity. However this clearly is a clarion call to up the anti against Castle Greyskull antics.
They have been pathetic, putting up barriers alienates the support, thought Jonathan Burns could not have put any better, his dad would have thought likewise

Re the fire sale. How come the huns can dilute their shares from about 81M to around 327M and King expects the price to stay at 20p, while claiming they’re worth 50p? Supply and demand would suggest 5p at most, although as Ralph suggests maybe a penny would be more like it. Mind you, Club 1872 aka 2012 are not the smartest fuds in the fudosphere…

The Huns can say and do what they want and no one will challenge them.

Not the media, not the SFA or UEFA, not even the international media question the same club myth and certainly not the Celtic PLC board.

EVERYTHING that can be done has been done to keep the Newco alive with the clear collusion of Peter Lawwell, Ian Bankier & Dermot Desmond.

The only real challenge Sevco has ever had in its 8 year existence is that of the taxman and even there Hector has given them enough breathing space this season to make it into the CL riches next year.

The fact isn’t, they’ve lost nearly 100 million pounds in 8 years, have never won a major trophy and NO ONE has even asked where such a huge sum of money has been coming from, not one person in the Scottish game.

And this is only what they’ve lost, mind, this sont counting the actual money spent in the running of their ad hoc clumpany.

Football is a world unto itself and it looks like even Lizzie is giving her second favourite club a bye til CL time.

Even the Ashley pay out of around 10 million quid has been continuously stalled by the handshaking judges.

Imagine if it was Aberdeen, Dundee Utd or Hibs who had spent the last 8 year a trying to live like this!

They’d have been shut down years ago, banned from tournies, no licence granted etc etc.

But Sevco?

As you were.

The game’s a bogey when the Celtic board, and all the other clubs’ boards, are conspiring with the Huns to shaft us, the true football support of Scotland.

Point is, I can’t fathom how ANYONE, except maybe a Lawwell plant could down-vote this comment. Interesting read; however my concern that this is a bit of a microcosm of the problem – we’re using ‘them’ as the driver/ motivator/ benchmark/ unifying force etc.
What they do or say should not come into thinking.
Our CEO has used their deficiencies as a deflection tactic for far too long. It’s been holding us back for years – we need to move past it and focus on our own house.

Iljas Baker

Ralph I think you got a lot of this wrong and hence you ended up talking more about rangers’ failings than our own. Moreover, I don’t think it’s a sense of entitlement that drives the Green Brigade – remember very early on they were warning about sleeping at the wheel secure in the notion that rangers were impotent. People that thrive on entitlement tend not to be forward thinking. I suspect what drives the Green Brigade is a number of things: pride in history, ethnic connection and the like and I think a major driver is ambition for the club. Like many of us they want the club to be dominant in Scotland and successful in Europe. I was glad King threw down a challenge as I am hoping it will galvanize the board but you seem to be saying it’s all smoke and mirrors and there is no real challenge from the other side. I beg to differ. I think the 4X3 is in jeopardy and the 10IAR is beginning to look like a lost cause with our defense being what it is and rangers dominance against Celtic simply the result of good tactics with nothing much in response. I a.m not at all confident about the remainder of the season.

Great piece Ralph.

What we’ve witnessed the past 2 months is difficult to watch but we have no divine right to win although with the squad we have we should be performing far better.

There is no 1 person responsible for what’s unfolded but we need to back the players.

It’s not too late to salvage the season.

As much as we ridiculed the huns over the last 8 years, laughed at the banter years, took great amusement in their finances, the bottom line is their top of the league, playing far better football than Celtic, have unity, determination and passion on the park, all the things Celtic haven’t got anymore, as much shite as King talks, is he really that far off the mark with his house of cards analogy, the 10 looks dead in the water under Lennon and Co, the team will no doubt get dismantled in January or season end, and a complete team rebuild required, complete change in manager, backroom staff, and hopefully boardroom is also desperately needed, that aw takes time and money, lots of money, money that Celtic will find alot harder tae come by next season, when the 10s gone, RES11 still unresolved, and a support fed up of being taken for mugs every season, then season book renewal and general attendances will nose dive, so if oor only hope and plan of regaining top spot in Scotland is based again on hoping the huns go bust, then Celtic is in for a rude awakening..10IAR was meant to be our Generations 1967 moment, and this shitshow of a season has taken that away, and will never be repeated…LENNON OUT..

I’ve wondered if 10 was the moment when Desmond would cash in his chips, he’s 70 after all and his board are of an age where light coloured trousers are a gamble. But that was pre 2020. Who’s investing serious cash in a Scottish club these days? What do we want from a new major shareholder? Some far east speculator? Fan ownership? Watch the redundancies continue to roll in in 2021. Think we are stuck with the pigs in the farmhouse for the foreseeable.

Hard on the GB. They buy ST’s, they turn up home and away, they create and sustain an atmosphere that helps the team. They don’t have a sense of entitlement and neither do I but expect the people growing fat on our money to work like a bastard or fuck off. Deeds, not words Ralph. We’ve had enough of them recently.

I suppose it seems as far as the defence goes Celtic has collapsed like a pack of cards, no one could have predicted it. Personnel and shape change outcome the same. El Hamed looked so good when he first came in but now seems infected by the same indecision and poor positioning as then others. Even the normally reliable Bitton has the bug.
We miss Forrest wide, a much better finisher than Frimpong. Also Mikey’s creativity but there is quality there and this time stepping up. I hope Soro gets at least 60 minutes tomorrow but I have a hunch it will effect him too, whatever ‘it’ is. Eddy looks better but Christie is a shadow of the guy he was last season, he can’t get a corner past the first man or if he goes it goes wide. Similarly Cal Mac is off the boil. They will be back but will it be in time?

GB banner spot on , GB statement spot on , entitlement ? .Fans who have paid for games they knew they couldn’t get into – i.e. supporting the club – are ENTITLED to better than this CLUB ( not just team ) capitulation , from such a position of strength . Perhaps if the club ‘ beneficiaries ‘ ( cause that’s what they are , NOT custodians ) had focused on Celtic as opposed to their beloved Old Firm we may not have now been in this shit .

The Cha

Bang on about ‘entitlement’, which in its non-Orwellian state correctly means ‘deserving’.

It’s a bosses word to use it as a negative “unions think they’re entitled to pay rises, holidays” etc (damn right we are!).

Tories also use it to denigrate the poor “benefits entitlement culture” etc (nb perish the thought they use it for their tax dodgy donors or cronies getting unqualified contracts etc).

When you start using the bosses language used to punch down on the poor then you’re in the same place as working class Tories who support diversionary attacks on immigrants while they and their communities are going down the sinkhole.

It’s time to put the 6’5″ Hazard in goals. He can’t be any worse than Barkas/Bain so we need to find out.
Tomorrow:
Hazard
Frimpong/Ajer/Jullien/Taylor
Turnbull/Soro
Christie/Rogic/Elyounoussi
Edouard
Ajeti/Griffiths/Brown/Ntcham to figure
4-0 to the Bhoys.Back on track. We need a clean sheet. We need some goals

Rest Calmac and Laxalt
Taylor is a leftback, not a wingback

Dave King has been telling us for years what the plans were, to fold Celtic in one season.

I know some who used to do that to us on the street, that they’d be told something was about to happen and they couldn’t help but rub our noses in it even though they’d been told to keep it quiet.

Thats the way the Huns have been all season, quietly glaring under their breath, you can see it in they body language and see it in their eyes.

This has all been agree in the SFA ludge years ago and all Peter & Desmond have to do is brass it out, while pointing the finger of blame at the Celtic support.

And the Green Brigade.

Yes King is back to feast off the dead carcass again and make more money one last time before “the rangers” go bust as did the previous club. No surprise there. He’ll say anything to fleece the zombies. We need to put our own house in order and find a new management team and have some serious player turnover while winning the SPL. Whoever the new management team will be let’s hope they are well versed in modern techniques and training etc. also they the manager actually call the shots when it comes to players and team. Desmond will act to protect his investment – that is for sure

See Shved’s coach has advised him to take up billiards. No doubt he’ll return to us on cue during the winter break after Karpaty balk at a permanent deal having chalked up limited game time. I think our scouts should give us a break. Will he follow on developing his frame like wee Jamsie? If he can on the park that could give him a cushion and he’s worth a shot. The rest may have done him good and it could be a bridge to better things but I think we’re snookered on this one and he’s just pocketing his wages. Thanks Jimmybee. I was just following the match on text commentary and I just gave up on it (before St Johnstone scored) because the signs were there that this was gonna be another dreadful day.
If Lennon resigns/sacked and a new “big name” manager is signed and these players suddenly start playing well, then that would prove that they deliberately played badly to get back at the manager and they should be offloaded immediately. In no other profession (and remember they claim to be professionals) would you be able to delberately do your job badly and still pick up a wage…and these players pick up a great wage. No matter what their grumble is they should ALWAYS give
100%.
This was going to be one of the greatest seasons in Celtic’s history, but many of these players don’t care about the club, its history, the fans….they only care about a big move for themselves with even more money.
I’m totally sickened by the manner in which the fans’ dreams have been shattered by a bunch of non-triers. It’s not the losing…it’s the way they are losing.
I’m no for giving up, but it will take a miracle and they don’t happen that often.

So I’ve got Celtic TV and the interaction between Christie and E-yussi is very strange. Watch it if you can and tell me what you think. You can also see it in the highlights on youtube.

The apathy comes from the top and filters down. I will bore you all again with Lawwells total narcissic, inadequate bullying where only sheep who fall in with his masterplan are tolerated. Delia being a prime example and players probably hawked around by agents only wanting to get the best possible price for their second-hand cars. Barkas here by whose insistance? A librarian who jumps around the box like a jack-rabbit, except when a shot comes in and he stands rooted or misses it completely. Not his fault, he did no insist in being bought, but came out with a nice contract thank you that will set his family up afore pishing off back to obscurity to Greece or whoever else is daft or crooked enough to have him. Lenny must go, but if Lawwell had listened to the guy he trusted with the most important job at any club instead of some crooked agent who offers no money back on cars with no engine, we would be better off. But too late now and Lawwell simply must go and a management team with balls appointed. The talent is there, and a young squad with a knowledgeable coach who can organise a defence and is allowed to get in a couple more to the squad, bring on the youngsters, all would be well. But I have that sneaky feeling Lenny will be here till the 10 is out of reach. The right coach could still challange as we have the players, just no head on the chicken. Suits some for sevco to be successful and who gets the cheques from sky etc who insist on competition? Lenny does not trust some of his players, then why does he play them? Does he have a choice? Yes, Turnbull did make a difference, Edouard needs a partner up front, if Grif is no fit, what has he been doing at the training ground the last 4 months? Where is Dempele while both Forrest and Mikey are out? There are strings being pulled and the whole thing stinks. HH!
