Celtic Diary Wednesday June 27: SFA Bring Out The Brooms

There has not been any news about the ongoing investigation into the events of 2011.

Its also been noticed that;

the case getting looked at today is concerning the submissions made on 30th June and/or 30th September, both of which were after the licence was “obtained”.  The Compliance officer has confirmed to the club the 31st March process is no longer under any investigation.

for the avoidance of any doubt,  thats the dodgy bit.

As with the Nimmo smith investigation, the SFA are merely paying lip service to shareholders of Celtic PLC , and its time now to shift the emphasis away from the blazers and over to either Police Scotland or holyrood.

They are simply sweeping everything under the carpet again by investigating only the bits that they want to, which are not the ones everyone else wants investigating.

We have seen this film before, but there’s no need to pay again for a seat.

Have the new “rangers ” and the SFA colluded behind closed doors again, in the interests of moving on ?

Sure smells like it.

There are a number of questions that spring to mind…

  1. On what basis was exclusion agreed given it was reference to events leading up to 31st March 2011 at CW trial that triggered the investigation?
  2. Why are reasons  not being made public?
  3. Are Celtic shareholders and Celtic not entitled to know the reasons and inform shareholders if they stand up?
  4. Why should that agreement to exclude not be a task for the JPDT to decide in interests of transparency?
  5. Have RIFC. based on the statement by Ramsey Smith in the e mails of 7th December 2011, some sort of hold over the SFA that allowed exclusion of end March events to be “leveraged”

I’m guessing that the media won’t be asking them, despite the alarm bells starting to ring about further dishonesty in our game, a dishonesty that this particular investigation was supposed to root and and remove.

On another note, Celtic play today.

If you can be arsed with it.

I’m not sure I can.

Tully, your rather silly, negative remark is what encourages the scum at Ibrox and the scum at the SFA and the scum in our Police and Judiciary to continue doing what they do; lying, cheating, corruption, fraud et cetera.
More of us need to side with Ralph, the Res 12 guys and anyone else who is prepared to stand up and fight and NOT accept the status quo of corruption et al which is ingrained here.
STAND UP TO IT AND NEVER ACCEPT ANYTHING BUT THE CORRECT CONCLUSIONS WHICH WILL ALSO LEAD TO CHANGES TO FOOTBALLING RECORDS TO CORRECT THE CHEATING YEARS OF RANGERS 1872-2012 and end the same club nonsense. Then and ONLY THEN should we even consider “MOVING ON”.
Hail! Hail! the Glasgow Celtic, A Club Like No Other.

What we should expect is an open, transparent and an honest game, but it sure doesn’t look like we are getting it. And there is the reason that we expected is why the Compliance Officer resigned a few weeks before this whitewash came out. Football in Scotland is… gubbed.

I thought the Res12 guys had accepted that 31st March wasn’t an issue as the tax bill hadn’t “crystallised” until April?

There’s so much disinformation that it’s difficult to keep up.

Hopefully Auldheid stops by to clear up the confusion.

We did until 2016 when new info on what UEFA deem an overdue payable as a result of a case where CAS upheld there was overdue payables in similar circumstances emerged further reinforced by an earlier case where the intent of Art50 was made clear.

However we had to wait for CW trial to make public what we knew about the liability being accepted.

That triggered the investigation which needs to explain on what basis end of March excluded.

Good question – on what basis? Wonder if the resignation of the previous compliance officer was because he disagreed with this approach? Unlikely to know unless he becomes a whistle blower. Also nearly everybody in th SFA were/are compromised by the shenanigans with oldco and if they investigate themselves, it’s likely they will go easy on themselves and they have. So we may come down to either the government or police having to look into this? LNS has lost all credibility and I’m unsure why he doesn’t come forward and say he was hoodwinked in light of evidence since revealed?

Auldheid
Reply to  BroxburnBhoy

On LNS losing credibility one of the reasons was Ogilvie instigated the DOS ebts and was a recipient of the later BTC ebts but never made the difference clear to LNS in his testimony as in “Oh btw your lordshipness did you know the DOS ebts are already unlawful. It’s why RFC got the wee tax bill.

However there was nothing to say Andrew Dickson was in the same position of knowing there was 2 kinds of ebts and saying something similar.

Until now.

Turns out according to his testimony to the FTT on the BTC he had the job in 2003 of convincing Ronald De Boer it would be ok if he stopped being paid by DOS ebts and switched to the BTC ebts.

So there you have 2 testimonials to LNS by folk who knew the difference yet allowed LNS to treat them as continous.

There defence might be they didn’t know about HMRC asking questions about DOS from 2005 when a check of players files Dickson was responsible for failed to find them.

Aye right.

“Celtic are in possession of all the facts and are rightly waiting the outcome of the JPDT”, so its time for them to take the lead and provide all the evidence that you bhoys provided them. If they sit back and do nothing then the games a bogey, time for them to pony up and use your ammunition. Doing nothing isn’t an option.

“I have sat beside Peter Lawwell and I know that he cares” So Ralphy, its time for Peter Lawwell to get up from his chair, shake of the cramp, flex his muscles and begin to wield the power that every Hun accuses him of having, his time and the Celtic board’s time has arrived. Every Celtic supporter that cares about and knows about these issues are indebted to Auldheid and the Res.12 bhoys, but there is only so much that we can ask of them. These issues should now arrive at the door of the Celtic board, let them get on with it and lead the way….

Just watched the first half of the Steyr game and it is clearly a game to bring up fitness levels.

Early, early days but here are some potential talking points.

Morgan looks tricky and direct. He easily outpaced the opposition, but they did not look like much.

Welsh at RB did not let the side down but needs development time.

Christie was full of running and did try creative passes in the final third but none came off. When Steyr got physical with him, he was easily pushed off the ball, or knocked over. This was a problem in the past but early days!

Compper was not up against anything but did spread the ball about and was dangerous at corners.

The pick of the question marks was McInroy who looked to have good positional sense, used the ball intelligently and got up and down the park well. He faded a bit in the final 15 minutes of the half.

We had one shot on goal in the first half and that was from Morgan.

As I said, too early to form any opinions on anyone yet.

If all the clubs in the league sign up & agree to the rules of the game, indeed create the rules in the first place, are they not then legally bound to implement enforcement of disciplinary action?
In terms of forcing the SFA to act when the games rules are broken?

I can’t see a future here for Celtic, if the game can’t be cleansed, we need to go & leave them to it.

Signed,
Frustrated out my fucking nut now!

Devoy45

Monti, gotta agree with you. As imperfect as our society is, its rules are generally enforced: theft, gbh, etc. Rules are supposed to protect everyone. But Fifa and Uefa are totally corrupt—Sebb Blatter, Fat Chuck and so on. Bungs, handouts, bribery embezzlement, extortion, tax free bank accounts. Money for pitches and youth football in the Third World went for whores, yachts and mansions, and it is still going on. Putin, Qatar, etc. Maybe it is impossible for Soottish Footbal to have integrity in such a cesspit? It is a beautiful game on the pitch but off the pitch but is run by a bunch of criminals and chancers.
Being a Tim and just a fan, I don’t have much power. It’s all I can do to keep my head above water in my daily life. I’ve always felt that a good legal team could sort out this mess and surely with help from UEFA, Celtic could find that legal team. Millions of pounds of money we were cheated out of is at stake as well as the ‘integrity’ of the Scottish game.
Where could Celtic go?

*Go forward should NOT be confused with “moving on” which I will never subscribe to until all the scum adherents have been both removed and punished; aye, regardless of their affilliation.

Since 2013 we have been talking about all the cheating, defrauding Celtic out of the 2011 C.L. qualifiers. The Motherwell “Billionair” The whole mess created by Murray, Dickson, Johnston, Ogilvy, Overman, Sharp and then the prize plum…. Regan, every single one complicit and not a thing done. Now we have the same club with a convicted criminal at its head, tell me.. how the fuck did that happen, answer.. because the same peepil are in the same positions except Ogilvy who.. wait for it was promoted to UEFA and Regan gone to pastures new. Now.. we have McRae and Putrid Petrie at the head of the SFA and King, Johnston etal still dictating Scottish football. How can we facilitate change, either we bhoycott or bring pressure to bare on the Celtic board to facilitate the required changes. Its either that or, well there is no alternative, I would be happy to do my bit, be it donating or demonstrating, whatever…….. I am sick of just talking

Mike – what do you think the Celtic Board can do ? They can say all the same things we have all said, they can call for an independent investigation I suppose. While they do this what sanction could the SFA apply to Celtic rocking the boat? I agree something needs done and an independent investigation by a third party is what Inwouod call for and I think the Celtic Board could call for – and what about the other clubs boards with ups they join? Or make it Celtic v the rest? I think the Board have to be very careful how they address this for the sake of Celtic rather than oldco or Newco. Board should call for an independent Enquiry and let’s try and avoid ending Celtic to punish oldco

Mike
Reply to  BroxburnBhoy

Broxburn, I would answer you by saying this… the board are the leaders of the club, they can if they chose question the governing body about the integrity of the competitions that we play in. They have previously asked for clarification about the way that the rules have been applied and the decisions that the governing bodies have made. They can and have requested an independent revue into the LNS decisions and about the Res.12 issue, awarding a licence to oldco when they clearly did not meet the required criteria. Here is the thing, the other clubs were not the ones who lost the most monies when they incorrectly awarded a licence to oldco, that was Celtic who as you know should have been the team that went into the C.L. qualifiers. That issue alone with the evidence gathered by the C.W. trial should provide the board with the ammunition that it needs to facilitate a full independent revue. Celtic and the green pound represents a huge input into Scottish football, factor in everything else that Celtic bring to the table and we are in a very strong position and we have many friends within Scottish football, stronger than many believe. So the board should provide leadership because the alternative is that WE do it ourselves, otherwise there is NO Scottish football, the crooks have won.

BroxburnBhoy
Reply to  Mike

Fair points Mike – I’m just unsure how far the Board can go against SFA without SFA calling in UEFA and a Celtic v the rest of Scottish Football situation. Given the outrageous decisions and situation to date, it makes me concerned if Celtic go it alone. That said it is a shite situation and no justice is getting delivered.

Its a long long time to be out of the game, Gordon is only a goalie so he disny count, he sits back on his deck chair supping pino colado’s during game time. Brendan at least has seen him play.. personally and I have no doubt he’s been a great player and seems to be a great lad. Gamboa is for the off, when he put a friendly for his country ahead of our C.L. qualifiers, ever since he has barely started
Lustig will still be number one, Ralston might figure in the up and coming C.L. qualifiers or Brendan will go with a back three, so its up to Brendan and his team.

Any big signing now has to be a centre back, plus maybe a leftback? We don’t really need Paddy or any more wingers or midfielders. In our system, we now have 3 good strikers. We can get McGinn when Broonie is closer to retirement. I think Morgan, Hayes and Christie will rise to the challenge.
Here goes:
Gordon (Bain)
Lustig(Ralston)
Boyata (Simunovic)
Ajer(Hendry)
Tierney (Miller/McGregor)
Brown (Kouassi) Ntcham (Allan)
Forrest (Morgan)
Rogic (Christie)

Strange that a team finishing second in its group can have an easier group to play in. It’s almost as if the draw was made by Sevco for the Queen’s 11 (Engerlund)
Team and FIFA ranking:
Brazil 2
Portugal 3
Argentina 4
Belgium 5
France 7
All in the same group?!!!
Anyway, because England gets its jingoism, chauvinism, racism etc from its right-wing tabloids, it’s no wonder that they continue to underestimate teams like Colombia, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, etc.
Many English supporters are the very same people who voted to deprive my children and grandchildren of the right to belong to 27 European nations, the ones that England belittles on and off the football pitch.

What TF did he expect, well just like us he wants Scottish football to be open, honest and transparent. That’s not what we get, we get, the complete opposite, but like most of us he has faith in people and expects them at the SFA to reflect truthfulness, honesty and integrity
but time after time we are quickly disappointed with the peepil in power, they are only interested in themselves and one club, if you don’t share the values that we expect, you are always left disappointed. The SFA, the disappointer’s of Scottish football.

Panty Pisher, That’s not a very nice moniker, especially when your an auld bhoy like me, could you change it perhaps to something like… “I’ve shat ma nappy” or ” I’ve got a big cock
naebody likes me but I don’t care” or “Free ma Willy” something less evocative perhaps.
