Celtic Diary Wednesday February 28: They’re Coming….

Well, they certainly seem excited about something.

“rangers ” drew to just six points behind Celtic in the league, giving hope to those without hope, faith to those without faith and a bloody good chuckle to the rest of us.

They’ll stay that far behind now until March 11, as the next Celtic match is this weekend in the Cup.

Celtic’s game with Dundee tonight has been postponed…

THE SPFL has announced that all of tonight’s Premiership fixtures, including the Celtic v Dundee game at Celtic Park, have been postponed due to the severe weather which has hit Scotland over the past 24 hours.

Heavy snow has caused disruption to road, rail and air travel, and the decision has been taken to postpone tonight’s fixture.

Details of the re-arranged date for the Celtic v Dundee fixture will be announced in due course.

I noticed everything was white this morning, and the only signs of any movement were some EDL guys singing and dancing in the street.

But the safety of the police officers tasked with taking drink off fans has to be considered, and you can hardly expect them to go out in this weather.

Anyway, the warnings are in place, so its probably the right decision..

And you know what they say about yellow snow…

“rangers ” have played a game extra, of course, and that was last night when they beat St Johnstone. During this game credit has to go to the referee who clamped down on the kind of bullying tactics enthusiastically employed by St Johnstone when he decided to book three out of the first five Saints who committed fouls, presumably having learned from the mistakes made when the Perth club had to committ nineteen fouls against Celtic to earn a booking.

Progress ?

Or one of the first signs that seven in a row is going to be a little difficult ?

Celtic have only themselves to blame if those who would rather keep the status quo in Scottish football eventually triumph over honesty and fair play, as their silence on the compliance officer report fiasco indicates, and don;t get me started on their support of Neil Doncaster, who as we revealed yesterday, maintains that “rangers ” are Rangers and thats that.

We should have dealt with this at the time, as it was always going to come back and bite our bottoms.

Nevertheless, at this stage, there’s a treble to secure, and then we can all decide what we are going to spend our season book money on in the summer, because unless we have had some action by then, we might as well chuck it.

League sponsirs Ladbrokes are trying to turn it into some sort of cliffhanger title race, with a special mention for £11m forward Alfredo morelas raising an eyebrow or two..

Certainties in life:

Death ✅
Taxes ✅
Alfredo Morelos scoring for ✅

Where that lot are concerned, they only got the bit about death being inevitable right.

But the campaign is underway, and perhaps we should do a wee sweepstake, predicting the time, the author and the outlet that gives us the first “We’re Aye Ready for Celtic ” article…

Still, we think we’ve got something to moan about.

PSG’s popular forward Neymar is injured , and with the money the French side are paying him, you can only imagine they’re a bit miffed.

Especially if they read this…

FACT: Neymar will now have missed a game on 11th March for FOUR consecutive years:

❌14/15: Suspended

❌ 15/16: Suspended

❌ 16/17: Injury

❌ 17/18: Injury …the same day as his sister’s birthday.

News just in…

FORMER Rangers chief executive Charles Green and finance chief Imran Ahmad will face no further proceedings in connection with the club fraud and conspiracy case as prosecutors say there is “now no evidence of a crime”.

The decision by the Crown Office finally marks the end of the two-and-a-half-year long proceedings which saw only Craig Whyte face trial and has led to no convictions.

No doubt time to move on…

Although keep an eye on James Dolemans twitter account today, he’s live tweeting from Dave kings latest attempt to prevent spending his own money, as his appeal against the Takeover
Panels decision is heard …

Short again today, I’m afraid, as I’m at the hospital to get some results.

hopefully, they’ll be better than our European ones.

Police Scotland and the crown prosecution service, should be brought to task, over the money spent to bring all those involved in the sevco debacle to trial.
There was no case to answer by Whyte or anyone else.
SDM was the guy who done the duping no one else. He should be stripped of his title, and held accountable for not paying taxes due. Whoever orchestrated this case to be sent to trial, should also lose their job.
The only thing that came out,was that sevco are indeed a new club, but you won’t read that anywhere.
With that trial in mind, the abuse Whyte got for using ticketus money, then why not the same outcry with the deal with the close brothers. Very strange.

Actually glad the game is off tonight, because it gives our Bhoys a few more days of rest and recuperation before Saturday’s game v Morton.
Not only that, the safety of fans heading to the game must be paramount, can’t be taking kids or the elderly ( Henke ) out in this weather, madness.
Let the kids play indoors & Henke in his big chair, extra log on the fire, watching his box set of ‘ Take the High Road ‘.
With no game for a few days, this should leave Lawwell with a bit of time on his hands…..you got a phone call to make Peter?

It isn’t going away you know!

SDM instructed the bank of Scotland to call in the overdraft at Celtic. He tried to bury us. At the 11th hour came the rebels, and the rest is history.
It is why it fuckin pains me that our club has failed to take them down.
If the shoe was on the other foot, titles would have been stripped, cups ,lost revenue would have been sought and no UEFA licence would have been granted, and there would have been no passage back into the bottom tier of Scottish football, you can be rest assured of that.
With Celtic out the way,Murray would have had free scope to rule Scottish football and earn himself the riches of champions league football.
Yet our board wait and do nothing.

Mick, I agree with all that JBee says. Liewell is complicit kn this whole charade as all he seems to do is throw tit bits out to the shareholders claiming something will be done. All this keeping our powder dry is shite. Again, it’s all about money and not a fuck given for the lifeblood of the club, tbe supporters, who want action and answers. It’s a disgrace that these cheating bastards are getting away with it and that board is aiding them. I bet you they probably have wee socials together enjoying the finer things in life, while we burst our balls to get season tickets etc We deserve answers and justice, we’re Celtic, not the businessmen who run the PLC.

UEFA its a new club, The SFA, “We don’t want to rake over old coals”

The board request the Res.12 bhoys to wait until after the C. Whyte trial.
P.L. Requested the SFA to investigate……months ago.

With NO dispute over the £2.8m. tax bill “Rangers” accepted liability on the 21st March 2011, but didn’t pay it. Despite Regans claim that ALL taxes had been paid in full by 31st March 2011.
Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practise to deceive.

Can’t imagine all the player will make it to training with this weather so a few days off and a game against a lower league team could get us set up for a good run and close the season out early, rest the internationals and give the young guys a chance to improve.

With Lustig missing the hun game, at least Brendan will have some alternative options, Ralston, Gamboa or even Hendry at right back.
Compper coming back with Paddy, you would imagine that they both might get a game on Saturday. Compper can even cover for Tierney, if Brendan wishes rest the young fella. So players coming back from injury is another positive.
Speaking of wishes, best wishes to you today Ralphy, we all hope that you get good news with your results.

Remember their gloating when Celtic fans identified and complained about the “bobbling” appearing on their replica strips whereas the Huns weren’t experiencing this problem. They put it down to Celtic doing shirts on the cheap till it was pointed out to them it was much the same material and even supplier but the key to this problem was that it occurred only after the first wash . . . . . . They knew they were beaten and then started stealing from small businesses to the taxman, to try to compete.
The peepil will never compete again unless they build a bigger stadium and there follow followers answer that call and that will only happen if a sugar daddy appears and that aint gonny happen.

Celtic was formed for all the right reasons, to help people who had nothing and to give them hope, where there was none.
” rangers ” was a sectarian breeding ground, Ibrox a place filled with racist, bigoted filth, little has changed.

Yes, you are correct Celtic was formed for the best of reasons and that legacy continues till today. Its what makes Celtic “the best of clubs” and gives it its magical allure.
We all have a lot to thank our mothers for, they are the most pain enduring and sensible sex, the persons who keep us grounded safe and happy. But hate is a powerful negative, it suppresses your soul and can sometimes deny you the joy of life, we cannot allow ourselves to be consumed by hate. We might use it to our advantage but never to be the be all of all our lives. Down with hate and three cheers for love.

Remember this book
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1580735.The_Soccer_Tribe
We worship our teams, it’s infectious I remember the adrenalin rush watching dalgleish scoring against rangers the whole crowd in a frenzy unaware of the calamities that may ensue from the lack of safety measures in the terraces. The cauchopany of sound from the Celtic choir. Stein was a god to everyone even though he never ever promised salvation

Mike

Stein was God in a human body, his love for Celtic shone through, even his players came second to the Tic. Dalgleish what a steal at £440,000 for Liverpool. Henke too what a player, mind him nutmegging Konterman and then chipping the goalie, one goal that sticks in your mind. And his double leg break against Lyon, his leg just dangling, it took a strong person to come back from that but he did and was even better. If only he could get a voice transplant, his gravelly voice does ma heed in.
