So.
The Resolution 12 guys will continue to work with the club, or the club will continue to work with the lads or whatever was meant by the few words given to the issue at the annual general moan yesterday.
We had the “you guys are great ” line from the board, as expected, and we had a whole lot of other good news, we had hilarious and scripted one liners that “brought the house down ” and we had the board looking down like they have achieved something.
Yeah, this time we got to know how thrilled they were at giving us a decent manager, and a couple of good players, but there really was an elephant in the room, and when it came to be addressed, with the statement we had expected over the issue of misgovernance at the SFA, all we got was;
“We continue to meet with shareholders representatives on resolution 12. We understand they have received communication from Uefa on the issue and we will meet with the shareholders next week to understand that communication and how they are moving forward.”
That could be taken as we’re being paid mere lip service again, and some of us will certainly feel that let down.
I’ll reserve judgment until after that meeting, and try to remain positive. Perhaps the club felt it was too important to deal with at the AGM, and that it requires a lot more time than it would have been allowed at a public meeting.
I can accept that, and I can also accept that whatever the club does next is crucial. One wrong word and years of hard work is wasted.
I’ll also accept that the club has realised that it isn’t going to go away, and that the evidence the guys have gathered at the very least puts a massive question mark over the people who run the SFA.
When you deal with a massive issue like this, every single base has to be covered. Every response has to be predicted and dealt with. There can be no room for manoeuvre when the time comes to make a stand.
So, as much as my plan would be to storm the palaces of the SFA and drag them all out before putting their heads on a pole on the Kingston Bridge, perhaps there is a better way.
What it also means is that with the media now having taken note of the petition started on this site, then we need to crank it up a notch. Its been hijacked by a few from the darkside who have left their hoofprints on it, but thats to be expected. Its their sort of default defence mode.
You see, the support over there don’t understand it, and naturally, they are frightened of something they don’t understand, so they lash out with a nervous attack, kind of hoping it will all go away.
Or they put you on one of their own websites, in an attempt to discredit you. Yet not one of them has come up with a reasoned and sound argument to carry the debate forward.
Nowhere in the media is there anyone prepared to stand up for the SFA, to point to what they have done for the good of the game. Regan is now isolated, a dead man walking, and the only reason he hasn’t been finished off yet is that he will have a story to tell, yet deep down he knows the press will distort it, he knows that no matter what he says, or where he leads them to find a couple of bodies buried a while back, the press will not give him the slightest credibility.
So, in a remarkable twist , in our campaign against the SFA, I’d like to call the first witness.
We understand that he has been misled.
We understand that he thought he was doing the right thing.
We understand that he has been influenced by the kind of people his mother warned him not to play with.
We understand that he needs a way out. A way out where he can tell his side of the story.
He can do that here. all he has to do is get in touch.
I can;t believe that he wants to stay in the job any longer than he needs to. He’s done with it, and all he wants to do is leave with at least some of his reputation intact.
No news outlet in Scotland will print his story. He knows that.
He is alleged to have given the wrong information to Peter Lawwell. I’d like to know who suggested to him , if that is the case, that this was a good idea.
Regan isn’t going to last long. What is crucial is that the events during his reign are not swept under the carpet after a new man is appointed to take his place.
You can rest assured the old boys network already has his replacement ready to step in.
Regan is going to be blamed for everything for everything that has been underhand at the SFA since David Murray decided to saddle up and ride out of town to lay low for a while.
A bit like what they did to Craig Whyte.
For his own sake, its vital that Regan gets his side of the story in first.
Get in touch.
The petition, as advertised in the Evening Times and the Herald…
The SFA Has To Respond To Allegations Of Impropriety
Concerning The Issue Of UEFA Licences
Spread it as far and as wide as you can. Put it on every forum and social media site you can think of. Its more important now the eyes of the nation are on it.
We need to get more and more signatures, we need to make the pressure unbearable.
We need to do it together.
Yesterdays caption competition…
Caption: “What do you mean ‘Can I pick out the offender,’ officer? It was all of them.”
Yesterday, it appeared that Martin Waghorn Pen, the “rangers ” striker got caught up in a dignified discussion with a schoolboy who called him “shite “.
What was the players response..
