The petition to demand comment from the SFA on a few suspicious actions they took back whilst trying to save the original Rangers continues to gather support, and for this we have to thank our friends in the media and the SFA , whose continued silence shows that they really do have something to hide.
2,303 have already signed, which means a lot of you still haven’t.

What we need to push it further is someone who has figured out how to get it to other clubs.
I tried to tweet a few fans groups but made an arse of it, as I tend to do when dealing with anything more technical than the old slide rule I used to use in my Maths class.
They are counting on this being another one of those flash in the pan ideas that burns quite brightly at first, before fizzling out when faced with the winds of apathy.
Do not let that happen. Those of you with twitter accounts, re-tweet the petition. Those of you who haven’t, add it to whichever forum or social media site you use. If you don’t use them, then make it your job to tell as many people as you can to sign up.
We need to force the SFA to comment. We need the reassurance that there were no shenanigans, and that we needn’t worry about it happening again.
If you like the idea of an efficiently and fairly run football governing body, then this is where we start.
As for the media, who have been less than interested in the whole misgovernance affair, perhaps when you go to the shop this morning, giving their papers a miss might waken them up as well.
As all of the written media has its own twitter account these days, you could ask them directly why they are not covering the issue, and when they don’t reply, ask them again.
Sooner or later it will dawn on them that we are not going away.
Someone else who needs to know its not going away is Celtic chief Peter Lawwell.
As James Forrest explains in his recent article..the title tells us the content, though its well worth a read for the detail,
if-celtic-dont-hold-the-sfa-to-account-then-the-shareholders-must-hold-celtic-to-account
He’s right, because back at the AGM when the original resolution was put forward, the lads were told that it was “unnecessary ” and that if they did go out and find a smoking gun, so to speak, then the club would act.
Lawwell and the board never did tell the Res 12 guys exactly why it was unnecessary, and at the very least thats a question for next weeks AGM, and now that the smoking gun has been found, then surely, as they have said, they will now act…
Celtic too, have been silent on the issue, and now the initial surprise and euphoria over the appointment of a new manager and the signing of a few players has abated, its time to turn the pressure back on the club.
The club did contact the SFA, and did show the RES 12 guys the response, but as the SFA answer has now been shown to be misleading, then its time for the club to call them out on it.
The club, like the SFA, have to realise that this is ot going away, and they need to be aware that they do have responsibilities to shareholders, and thats without the moral dimension of participating in a competition they know is rigged.
Lawwell is a pragmatist, and may claim that we have to play in a league, and this is the only one there is.
But there’s no point in playing in anything if no one is there to watch.
Lawwell has been there a while now.
Does he want to be remembered as the astute custodian who put the interests of the club and its support at heart , or does he want to be remembered in the same affectionate way that we remember the Kellys, the Whites and the others who very nearly drove us into the ground ?
Does he really want to see all the good work he has done destroyed by his inaction over a time when the SFA bent the club over the table and took away its innocence ?
Thats up to him. I’m sure he knows the right thing to do.
Meanwhile, a Scotland side featuring four Celtic players in the starting line up lost 3-0 to a piss poor England side at Wembley, allowing the Scots to consolidate their position in second bottom of the group.
Apart from the Celts-easily noticable in the luminescent pink strips as they were much fitter than their team mates- it was another piss poor performance from the Scots, and yet more proof that zonal defedning only works when you actually have some defenders on the park.
Grant Hanley, who heads the ball like a man with a fifty pence piece shaped head and Christophe Berra, who is supposed to be “berra ” than anyone else we’ve got, were supported on the flanks by Ikechi Anya, who can’t get a game for Derby and Lee Wallace who needs three touches of the ball before he realises he’s got it.
The English didn’t have many chances to score, but took the ones they had, whilst Scotland created far more but in a performance remiscent of Celtic last season, there was mass panic anytime the English went forward, and more panic when Craig Gordon remembered who his defenders were.
None of that back four would get a game for the hoops, and to be perfectly honest, there isn;t a player in the team that I’d be happy to see in our squad who isn’t already in there.
Its easy to moan, but you have to sympathise to an extent with manager Strachan. He only gets a few days a mnth to work with the players, and that makes it very difficult for him to get his ideas across to them.
Yet the problem could also be the solution.
forget this idea of bringing in players from the English Championship.
Go back to basics.
Pick only SPFL players for a start, as Joey Barton showed, and he was the best player in the English Championship last year, people are overestimating the quality of that league, and as usual , uderestimating our own.
If Strachan can get a core of youngsters and work with them over a campaign whilst at the same time making it clear that they won’t play for Scotland should they chase the southern dollar, we could see an improvement both internationally and domestically as players go back to learning their trade.
Its worth a shot, as clearly whatever they’re doing now isn’t working.
Strachan refused to be drawn on whether he would stay on as Scotland boss, but if he leaves , then we can feel fairly sure that either Scott Gemmill , u-21 boss, or Alex Rae, u-19 coach, is ready to step into the breach..
Oh, i just found another reason for you to sign the petition, which of course, is about misgivenrance at the SFA, and lets be hinest, appointing the two coaches named above is as good an example of misgovernance as you’ll find anywhere.
Back at the ranch, and the word on the street is still all about Steven Gerrard, who looks like he will join Celtic as soon as he can flee the riot torn United States, as liberals take to the streets to protest about people who voted for someone they don’t like.
Around half of all American voters couldn’t get off their arses in time to make the 10pm deadline at polling booths, which is the normal place to register your opinion on who should lead, so frankly I’ve got no sympathy for them.
Its about time people realised that they have to do things themselves.
Here in Stoke we do try to encourage that, for example, the books on wheelchair maintenance at the library are up the stairs on the top shelf to the left.
Of course, it could all end in tears, but remember , the difference between Trump and a flying pig is only the letter F…,
Gerrard-who prompted this spontaneous rant about lazy Americans-is an admirer and friend of manager Brendan Rodgers, which usually means a player will end up at Celtic, and the prospect of him learning the caching ropes in Glasgow can only be good for the likes of Ajer, Armstrong, Henderson, MacGregor and the others who just need that little bit extra to move up a level.
Over on the south side, and a lack of heroes meant that Terry Butcher, who doesn’t even like them, appears twice on the Icons of Ibrox banner
They are desperate to find something to cling on, and whilst we at Etims are proud of our own rumour mill, its only fair to help them set up one of their own.
We’re like that, we always help those less fortunate than ourselves. And a big thanks to only4togo on twitter for going deep undercover to unearth these exclusives
Yesterdays picture,
gave us a chance to try and guess what goes on in that dirty great big space between one mans ears, and you offered quite a bit of insight…. not only into his mond, but in how others see him..
